How does hiring an item work?

Browse listings, select your hire dates, and send a booking request. The supplier will confirm availability and work with you directly to finalise the booking.

What types of products can I hire?

You can hire bar carts, balloon garlands, kids’ tables and chairs, marquees, jumping castles, themed setups and so much more. Listings are updated frequently!

Is there a minimum hire period?

Most items are rented for 1–2 days, but this depends on the supplier. Each product page includes specific hire duration details.

Do you offer setup and delivery?

Many suppliers offer delivery, setup, and pack-down. Check the listing for details or message the vendor directly.

Where are you based?

We are an Aussie owned and operated company servicing locals all around the country.

Are all vendors verified?

Yes — all vendors are reviewed before listing to ensure safety, quality, and communication standards are met.

How much does it cost to book?

Prices are set by suppliers and shown on each listing. Some may charge extra for delivery or custom setup.

Can I cancel or change my booking?

Yes – you can cancel through your account or by emailing us. Refunds depend on how close it is to the hire time. Full refunds (minus fees) are available if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, 50% if within 24–48 hours, and no refund if less than 24 hours. Changes depend on owner approval and may include extra costs. For urgent cancellations or exceptional circumstances, email us at hello@mylocalpartyhire.com.au.

What happens if something goes wrong?

Contact our support team immediately. We’ll assist you and the vendor to find a quick solution.

Do I pay upfront?

Yes, the money is taken at checkout, but it's held securely by Stripe and only released to the provider after your order is completed—so you’re protected until you receive what you’ve paid for.

Do you offer themed party ideas?

How can I contact a supplier?

Once you request a booking, you’ll be able to chat directly with the supplier via your dashboard.
